Ice Cream Time!!

I was just discussing with Lindsay that Cookies and Cream might be the best ice cream flavor around.

According to Sporcle, the website that has perfected the mind stimulation department, the top fifteen flavors are as follows:
  1. Vanilla
  2. Chocolate
  3. Butter Pecan
  4. Strawberry
  5. Neapolitan (1+2+4)
  6. Chocolate Chip
  7. French Vanilla
  8. Cookies and Cream
  9. Vanilla Fudge Ripple (really?)
  10. Praline Pecan
  11. Cherry
  12. Chocolate Almond (I've never even heard of this!)
  13. Coffee
  14. Rocky Road
  15. Chocolate Marshmallow
As far as I'm concerned, the most perfect flavor is Cookies and Cream.  There are both elements in every single spoonful.  Here is my list, based on mostly normal flavors, not including most of the obscure Ben & Jerry's flavors that exist.
  1. Cookies and Cream
  2. Black Raspberry (fruity but not too fruity)
  3. Peanut Butter Cup (in moderation)
  4. Coffee
  5. Pistachio
  6. Butter Pecan
  7. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (if there was only a chunk of cookie dough in each spoonful)
  8. Mint Chocolate Chip
  9. Strawberry
  10. French Vanilla
This debate can go on for years and years until we're all blue in the face.  Cookies and Cream is my new go to, I decided this evening.

What's yours?

Closer of the Year Tournament 2012, Part III

We're going to narrow it down to the Final Four today.

Eliminations are as follows:

#2 Seed AL - Chris Perez, CLE - By no fault of his own, Fernando Rodney has been nearly infallible all season so far.  Perez has great numbers, don't get me wrong, Rodney is just a step above.

#4 Seed NL - Jason Motte, STL - Again, nothing against Motte.  With almost identical numbers to Papelbon, Pap just gets it done - 12/12.

#6 Seed NL - Santiago Casilla, SF - Kimbrel hasn't let up a HR - something every manager would love to have in his closer.  Other than the two long balls, they're almost even.

So here are the Final Four - #1 Jim Johnson, BAL vs. #3 Fernando Rodney, TB and #1 Jonathan Papelbon, PHI vs. #2 Craig Kimbrel, ATL.

All four from the East divisions.
